Deni 5205 Automatic Ice Cream Maker

As claimed:

The monopoly of ice cream parlors regarding the crushed candy and ice cream combination is at stake, so are their several frozen treats.

Тhe Deni 5205 Fully Automatic One and a half-Quart Ice Cream Maker with candy crusher and the low-noise 40-watt motor boasts of a 30 minutes efficiency without the requirement for salt or ice.

Instead, the canister does the job. It’s a pre-freezing of the same that’s required though for 8 hours, a third of the time usually required.

A transparent lid is an added advantage while the anti-slip rubber feet and the hidden cord storage makes the Deni 5205 quite fit for taking places. The candy crusher adds that parlor feel that adds to the taste.

As said:

The Deni brand has introduced certain spectacular utensils that work fine but also requires pampering from time to time (owners of Euro-cars shall get the idea better).

That got Deni a small yet stable market and it worked well till some brainwave inside tickled them to serve the mass. Homemade, sugar free ice cream fanatics or family-gathering lovers are likely and equally to be delighted.

Those who already own a Deni 5205 ice cream machine shall perhaps agree to the general satisfaction regarding this Deni ice cream machine’s promptness to chill and the ease of operations.

The part not tolerated well by most is that the finished product needs a post-chilling session as well (better, if in a proper freezer), if soft serve is not what you like the most.

The Deni is good on the noise ground also; it makes the ice cream quite fast and delectably. So overall, the Deni 5205 is a big upgrade from run of the mill ice cream machines of yore.

As found:

An adage fitting precisely is one man’s meat…. It applies for the Deni 5205. While those in the recipe book turn out more or less okay, experimentations may sometimes be very disappointing. Except for the smoothies; so, it is the perfect machine to those preferring smoothies more over ice creams.

What’s low for one could be high for another and the Deni 5205 ice cream making machine is silent enough not to disturb the television viewers but quite noisy inside the kitchen. That applies for the candy crusher as well; however, it’s strange that the candy crusher has been included in the price.

It should have come as a separate, free option instead. Putting that thing to work turns out quite a bit of disappointment many times, its cheap build quality to blame. The flimsy plastic may pretty much give way anytime to what gets thrashed on the inner walls and by the time it has grinded a small box of Smarties or something similar, it would be time to call the day off.

But the Deni 5205 knows its primary job well. The ice cream it makes (of course, mostly sticking to the recipe booklet provided and a few other time-tasted creations) is, simply great; in right hands, some even surpass the commercial kinds. Home made gourmet ice creams also taste better if the 5205 is given time.

This is one part where Deni needed improvement but it is not fully achieved with the 5205. It still has room for improvements and it shall be nice to see the post-chilling session disappear. Hardening a bit soft texture into wonderfully consistent hard ice cream is still not free of the freezer.

However, Deni ice cream maker 5205 got rid of the idea of homemade ice creams means being at the turning wheel for extensive hours. Considering the volume it produces (1.5 quarts or 1.41 liters), twenty minutes are fair enough.

The efficient canister takes just 8 hours to freeze, what’s not mentioned is the post-freezing time increases to around five hours. But then again, the total time span stays lower than that in the common freezing times – 13 hours against 26.

All in All:

That’s quite a lot for the thirty dollars shelled out and it’s a price paid for just the prime function. But Deni can perhaps lower the price even further if that candy crusher is let go off and replaced with just an adding tube. Those who want toppings have better ways to procure them.
