The paddle churns the mix but does not separate the ingredients unlike done by cheap, plastic units that corrode and snap with time. The results, thus, come out fantastic.

But that seems okay for a motor that can pull through a thickly frozen mix after being stopped for adding fruits and/or candies. The simultaneous motions of the canister, the outer mixer and the inner mixer also drives the air out and stops air from coming in, thus increasing and retaining the density of the mix. The result is a mind-blowing consistency with zero ice crystals at the expense of a LOT of ice.

The search for a large capacity ice cream maker that makes good ice cream and doesn’t resemble a pile of complex junk ends with the White Mountain F69206-X electric ice cream making machine. A great choice for those tired of trying getting rid of ice crystals and large air gaps from their ice creams provided they take no offence in the noise.
